Paleath Orglino (Our Pantheon of Origin) Introduction: It all began when Uma, The Creator, used his Almighty power to create land from the sea. With his command the world rose from the waters, a long and somewhat narrow strip, along with smaller masses surrounding it. When The Creator had done this, the land was barren, waiting for life and energy to fill it. Uma then thought to himself, "In order for all aspects of life to be shown, I must unlock all aspects of myself." And so he created the Patrons, each showing different aspects of himself. And thus the Pantheon was created. Main god: Uma, (Umayen in Elvish) The Creator of the world and sea, father/champion of all Patrons and Aspectrals. He created the world and gods to fill the world with life. His main symbol is the sun, the origin of which life came. Uma doesn't meddle with the lives of mortals, and only orchestrates his will through the Patrons. Most affiliate him with the sun itself, for it always watchful over the land during the day. With the hope of filling his new creation with all walks of life, Uma reached within himself and created four beings of power. Each being, which was powerful but could not match Uma himself, resembled different aspects of life that Uma wished to see impacted on His Creation. And thus the Patrons came into existence. The patrons along with Uma would then create the sentient races, each in their own respective images. Secondary Gods: The Patrons, four powerful goddesses each created to bring different aspects of life into Uma's Creation. Each goddess would later become the patron of each different sentient race. The first patron to be crafted by Uma was the goddess Elania, the fairest and most beautiful of the Patrons. She is known to the mortal eye as a tall, slender female with flowing blonde hair and eyes the color of a spring leaf, along with sharpened ears. She wears either a gown of green silk in the patterns of leaves, or a set of magically runed light armor, infused with pure energy. She was the aspect of life's beauty in Uma's eye, and together the two created the race of Elves, in Elania's own image. Elania, with Uma's guidance, leashed out a powerful glow of energy across the eastern part of The Creation, creating lush forests and all different sorts of flora. And thus Elania, the patron of the Elves and their kingdom, came into being. Elania, (Elyennen in Elvish) the patron of the Elves, one of the four Patrons created by Uma. She is the mother/champion of all Elven kind, and many pay tribute to her. Her symbol is a stout birch tree with an enclosed roof, symbolizing the entrence to her hidden kingdom in the eastern forests. She would later be the champion of the Aspectral gods of Peace, Fertility, The Wilds, and Magic. The second patron to be crafted by Uma was the goddess Yugaelea, the strongest and most aggressive of the Patrons. She is known to the mortal eye as a tall yet full bodied female, with long even tusks appearing through her smirk. Her ebony braided hair was shown to be stronger than any rope forged by mortals. She has been seen wearing only a full ebony set of steel armor, and is always carrying a double-headed ax, each head enchanted with a different power to cancel any resistance an enemy may possess. She was the aspect of Strength and Power in Uma's eye, and together the two created the race of the Orcs, in Yugaelea's image. Yugaelea, with Uma's guidance, erected an area in the south of The Creation of harsh yet beautiful sands along with mountains of vast colors. And thus Yugaelea, the patron of the Orcs and their kingdom, came into being. Yugaelea, (Yulelana in Elvish) the patron of the Orcs, one of the four Patrons created by Uma. She is the mother/champion of all Orcish kind, and many pay tribute to her. Her symbol is a double-bladed ax head, colored in many different ways symbolizing the mesa they call home. The ax head is similar to her own weapon Destyrl. She would later be the champion of the Aspectral gods of Strength, War, Power, and Revolution. The third patron to be crafted by Uma was the goddess Glonaren, the most heart-strong and inventive of the patrons. She is known to the mortal eye as a short and stout female, though with a clean and beautiful complexion with her auburn curly hair. She has been seen wearing both a fully gem adorned dress, or a full set of gleaming gold steel armor, also bearing a massive warhammer. She was the aspect of Innovation and Endurance in Uma's eye, and together the two created the race of the Dwarves, in Glonaren's image. Glonaren, with Uma's guidance, struck the northern side of The Creation with her hammer, creating a shockwave causing mountains to rise from the ground. The mountains would be enriched with minerals for her children to harness. And thus Glonaren, the patron of the Dwarves and their kingdom, came into being. Glonaren, (Glogana in Elvish) the patron of the Dwarves, one of the four Patrons created by Uma. She is the mother/champion of all Dwarvish kind, and many pay tribute to her. Her symbol is a bright blue jewel, one of many she imbued in the mountains of her people. She would later be the champion of the Aspectral gods of The Underground, Wealth, Hardiness, and Smithing. The fourth patron to be crafted by Uma was the goddess Valania, the most spirited and well ranged of the patrons. Her image to the mortal eye varies upon the encounter, due to the variety of the human appearance. However, she has never been seen without her short sword made of pure crystal, along with an iron shield. She was the aspect of Individuality and Freedom in Uma's eye, and together the two created the race of Humans. Valania, with Uma's guidance, set forth a gentle light across the flats of The Creation, causing gentle rolling hills and Great Plains to appear along the west. And thus Valania, the patron of the Humans and their kingdom, came into being. Valmaenya, (Valentena in Elvish) the patron of the Humans, one of the four patrons created by Uma. She is the mother/champion of all Human kind, and many pay tribute to her. Her symbol is a crook of a Shepard, symbolizing the wayfarer attitude and diverse lifestyle of her people. She would later be the champion of the Aspectral gods of Mercantilism, Guilds, Ambition, and The Sea. With all aspects of life bestowed upon His Creation, Uma let his Patrons govern their own sections of the land. However, as he relinquished control of creation, the patrons decided to each create beings in order to strengthen their own aspects. They each chose four defining attributes specific to them with the hopes of governing the strongest race of sentience. And thus the Aspectrals came into being. The sixteen Aspectrals were created by the four Patrons in order to become the strongest Patron. Instead they all canceled each other out and resulted in sixteen powerful immortal beings with no knowledge of good or evil. These beings are most common to affect the people of The Creation, both positively and negatively, whatever suits their fancy. Though many encounters with the Aspectrals have been recorded, the appearences of them always shift between sightings. Vermina, (Valmea in Elvish) Is the Aspectral goddess of Peace. Her followers devote shrines to her at famous battlegrounds with the hope of never returning to such violence. Sendrin, (Solenren in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of Fertility. A rite given down by him to all people is performed by farmers to grant larger crop yields. Hircline, (Hirsan in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of The Wilds of Uma's Creation. Many hunters call for his blessings with the hopes of increasing their yield during their hunts. Magiano, (Mahelio in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of Magic. He was the first to yield talismans and showed the races how to aquire blaze rods to craft potions. Sintestia, (Secelia in Elvish) is the Aspectral goddess of Strength. Her and her twin brother Scothamine were seperated immediately after Glonaren created them, with Sintestia gifted to Yugaelea. Together the twins had the potential to overpower the Patrons. Lawmendren, (Lelendwen in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of War. The most worshipped Aspectral, all warriors gather to his shrines before a battle, hoping for his blessings. Quintendra, (Cinlenda in Elvish) is the Aspectral goddess of Power. She is well known for making pacts with corrupt leaders of nations, giving them longer reigns for tribute. Avanquen, (Anvelen in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of Revolution. He saw the highest percentage of followers during and after The Cataclysm, when so many parties attempted many revolts against their governing leaders. Irendel, (Ilendwel in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of The Underground. Whenever a dwarf creates a new dwelling underground, they perform a rite of Irendel to bless the house. Any outsider who enters The Underground is subject to his wrath. Denatria, (Dwenenla in Elvish) is the Aspectral goddess of Wealth. The second most popular Aspectral being, many seek her favor to increase their acquisition of wealth. She's known to give out loans for large enough tributes, but collects at the worst of moments. Scothamine, (Scalamean in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of Hardiness. He and his twin sister Sintestia were seperated by birth from the Patrons, who feared their combined powers. Waylansan, (Gwylenden in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of Smithing. He was documented as the first ever Aspectral to be created, and before the others were created, spread the invention of the forge to all races, who all owe the dwarves for their modern weaponry. Capitalia, (Kalpanian in Elvish) is the Aspectal goddess of Mercantalism. Many shop keepers and businessmen pay tribute to her, as she grants them better business with each consecutive tribute. Phorendin, (Fallantrin in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of Guilds. He has presided over The founding of many guilds across the kingdoms of Uma's Creation, regardless of their race. He and Capitalia covertly created the founding of the Merchant’s Guild. Drivelena, (Darendel in Elvish) is the Aspectral god/goddess of Ambition. While Drivelena appears as a man to the Elves, she appears as a woman to all other races. No one knows the reason for this, though Elves would say she’s different because they've lessened their ambition through their peaceful lives. Nikolai, (Nelphini in Elvish) is the Aspectral god of the sea. Nikolai rarely interacts with any other race but Humans, as they are the most advanced when it comes to naval travel, besides rival advancements by the Elves. Once Uma became aware of the acts of the Patrons, he lessened their power of creation solely to their respective races, and the Patrons have never attempted to increase their power up to present day. The Pantheon in the World: While the Pantheon was first “founded” by the Elves, it has been adopted by many of the sentient races. Though under different names and views, the tenets produced from it can be seen in practices from the Orcs, Dwarves, and some others. Humans are the least populated race of believers, for they are so divided that many groups have formed their own belief systems. Primary groups of believers vary among the world, due to the Aspectrals getting the most fame for their specific enhancements/detriments. For instance, there is a group known as The Driven, a cult that solely worships Quintendra. Others, like The Guiding Light, are worshippers of Uma himself. Ironically, the Patrons themselves receive the least amount of followers, instead preferring to choose champions to represent them in the mortal realm of the Creation. The Pantheon on Fruit Dragons: To the rest of the world, Fruit dragons were just beings created along with the rest of the world. To the Elven followers of the Pantheon, they have a more interesting history. Note that this is just Elven speculation, and is not confirmed within the Pantheon. Many Elves believe that Elania and her Aspectrals wanted to created a lesser being of power gifted to her patron race as a means of showing her superiority. As such, they together created creatures out the lush fruit bearing plants of Elania’s dwelling, and made it so there they would reside. The dragons were each given different attributes of the Aspectrals, some of which Magiano even gifted with magical talismans. As Elven influence spread across the land, so did these creatures, as they can now be found in most lush forests where their dwellings grow.
